Journal of a Non-Runner Part II

EDIT with mild panic: I don’t know how to count in miles… so how will I know if I’m dying within a respectable distance of the finish, or not?

Seems appropriate that nearly two years to the day of posting the Journal of a Non-Runner (Part I, as it is now known), that I am on the verge of something incredible! Something unsettling and nerve-wracking, but oh so very exciting. I have won an entry in the New York City Marathon! Probably going to die. But at least I’ll be in New York!!

NYC has been on the top of my destination list since horse-face Carrie Bradshaw flicked the gorgeous Aiden and hooked up with personality-of-a-squid Mr Big. I never really liked CB, but I admit I binge watched that show because of the inconceivable dichotomy between corn-hole (I googled bum-f!ck, ‘cause I don’t really want to use that terminology - and how good is this option?! Also, don’t google bum-f!ck.) Toowoomba and the Big Apple.

Anyway, I digress. I’ll be running for Movember, the charity organisation I spammed everyone about last year. I’ll be spruiking their wares once more, to (hopefully) collect an impressive $5000 by October of this year. So so so so worth it. Can’t wait to share this experience with you team, as I go from a Non-Runner, to a Non-Runner in New York City!!
